Burn Out or Fadeaway: Johnny Rotten

A British butter company by the name of Country Life have gotten rather annoyed at the fact that almost half of those surveyed by newspaper the Guardian mistakenly believed that Anchor was a British brand. So in response to this survey the jealous butter company have launched a campaign headed by former Sex Pistols frontman John Lyndon. The heading banner reads ‘Anchor’s from NZ!’ to which Lyndon’s ugly punk mug replies “So?! I buy Country Life cos I think it tastes the best!”.

This isn’t the first time that Mr Johnny Rotten has relied on his own image to get some green as this video is testament to. It’s kind of ironic that such a major punk image, the frontman of the band that at their height epitomised the punk spirit, is now pushing butter down England’s gobs.
